After more than a decade with Groot industry in Elk Grove Village, Rolling Meadows switched to another company for recycling pickup in 2012 as the city continues to see an option to combine the recycling and refuse collection in the future.
Rolling Meadows is one of the only that is still garbage collection itself, but as budgets shrink, the city saw the privatization as a way of rejecting to cut costs.
